Saturday is not only our halfway point in this 12 week Challenge, it's also our 11 yr anniversary of when we "met"/moved in together. So, yea us!
Going really well to this point. We measured this weekend, and we've both def. lost good inches... M added some to his arms, and maybe his legs, I forget. Most significantly I lost 2 inches on my hips/butt, my waist,... um, maybe two off my bust (i dont like any word for this area tbh), and more than 1 off my calves. As of today I've lost a solid 10 pounds, which feels awesome, esp. since I've def. GAINED muscle. We have yet to miss a workout, and I don't plan for us to. Came close to it last Sat. actually, when a migraine would Not go away. Magically, at the last moment, it did.
.... feels like there is a lot on my mind I wanna talk about, but frankly am rather wiped and can't muster it. Waking with migraines seriously fucks with my entire life - mood, rest, energy, etc. Of course, the ONE day I dont - yesterday - M has to wake me so I can take him to work so I can have the truck for errands. I was sleeping sooooooooo fucking good too.
Well, one more thing. Am pissed about Keesha getting booted off Big Brother tonight. That Dan is a fucker, and so is Memphis. Up til now I've been 'eh' about both of them - though Memphis does have a certain "charm" about him that was enjoyable, but fuckit. First they booted mah gal Renny Roo, and now goddammit they booted poor Keeshfest. Goddamnmotherfuckers. I'm glad she gave it to them good last night. I love how she calls people out so fearlessly on their shit, such as with that pussy Jessie. THAT was fucking AWESOME, jsyk. It's like she just can't help herself, and I love her for it.
I hope she bitchslaps April into the juryhouse pool too.
And to end on a slightly more positive note - I'm SO glad fall is arriving. Yipppeeeeee. I fucking HATE summer, and would gladly take a blizzard over a hot humid drippy gross day anytime. Yeck.
So, for now, that is all.

Body For Life update
End of week 3 and it's going great. We weighed this morning - M has lost 8 pounds, I've lost 5. Even more so though, both of us FEEL better. I feel trimmer and more toned, and have noticeably more energy. Next week, at the one month mark, we're going to remeasure.
Today was our free day... We def. splurged on our calories, and it showed on the scale tonight! I couldn't stop myself from just seeing how much more it would say - it was the whole 5 pounds! But, I know it'll be back down after a day or so on plan.
Thing is - I had pretty much all the things I'd thought about all week that I wanted - english muffins with peach preserves for bfast, burger king for lunch, and pizza for dinner. However, BK pretty much sucked. The pizza was ok, but didn't make me swoon. I DID enjoy my muffins though. :) Oh, and I topped off the night with some cookie dough. I only realllly like the first few bites, so I didn't eat too much of it -froze what was left. I also made sure that whatever we had today, there would be no leftovers hanging around to tempt us.
Truth is though, the food we eat on plan (Eating for Life book), is SOOO fucking good, we don't miss "regular" food that much. EFL is becoming our "regular" way of eating. It makes sense, it makes us feel better and have more energy for our workouts every evening....
So, I can definitely see happening on future free days what I've read about - that you don't really want to stray much if at all.
The main difference this time, with us both doing it, and wanting the same thing basically, that it is becoming a Lifestyle. I def. don't look at it like a diet. Yes, it's a 12 week challenge, but what we're doing won't stop after Oct. 27.
In fact, we already pretty much have the whole next year planned out...
After the challenge, we're going to compress our current workout a bit. And our gym is about to offer aerobics, yoga and pilates!! So we'll be doing that once or twice a week, depending on how we like it.
The food, I imagine, will not vary a lot. And I really do think it's ending up a bit cheaper. We def. make use of all our leftovers, making several meals out of one recipe. And we're only buying what we NEED for the recipes. No extra snacky stuff because our snacks are the protein bars and shakes, or our nightly pudding, which I'm now adding protein powder to.
So I'm really thankful I came across the Champions book in Walmart that day. As soon as I saw it, I'm like YES - This is it! I already had all the other books - BFL, the Success Journal and Bill's EFL - so I was familiar with the gist of it, and the amazing before and after pics. And M had used the workout formula with great success a few years ago.
So anyway, we're going to finish this challenge (we're already a 1/4 thru it!), spend the rest of the year with a smaller workout, but adding the group classes, and then start a new challenge after the First, which will take up into the beginning of spring...
After that, perhaps keep the same schedule - take a couple months "off", then start again.
Anyhooooo, other than that....
eh, I dunno. Am watching Big Brother After Dark, AND I need to get to sleep cuz M is off tomorrow and we're working out early. Just cardio though, no big whoop. :)
